GREAT MAY PHYSICAL MEETING
Togetherness is our strength
Our May monthly meeting held on May 5th, was yet another great meeting. The attendance was good, and we felt honored to have our District Governor (DG) Abraham attend our meeting with so many friends from other clubs as well. Our DG’s presence and his RI updates underscore his ardent support for our club.
During this physical meeting, we also inducted a new member, Charles Tan. It was a special induction as our ceremony was led by our District Governor Abraham. At our next physical meeting, we will be inducting another 1 or 2 new members. We encourage all our members to recruit more members as we intend to grow our club rapidly. With more resources, we can implement more projects that can impact our society positively. We also encourage our members to invite like-minded friends to our meetings for fellowship and for them to understand what we do with the hope that they can contribute as well.

Congrats to Rotarian Charles Tan to be a member of Rotary E-Club of Singapore.
One of our projects we initiated was to provide support and raise funds to help the 14-year-old Thai girl who had both her legs amputated due to an accident with an MRT train. We are pleased to know that District 3310 has taken this over as a District program/project. With the District involvement, this means that there will be greater awareness to more members. Collection of the funds is in progress and we are very confident that we can raise a substantial amount.
We are now in discussion about setting up a Family Day Care Centre in Singapore. We hope that someone will be able to provide us with a venue with very low rental fees. We want to get this project started soon as this Centre will provide much relief to families who need badly need day care services for their children and elderly parents/grandparents, especially those with lower income. We also look forward to our members volunteering their services during their free time.
Our ambulance has been assigned to be a standby ambulance on May 28th, in conjunction with Singapore Airlines cabin crew activities on that day. In addition to this, we will be providing two nurses. The SIA cabin crew has been a big supporter of our club especially during our installation function. Our club is indeed fortunate to be able to own an ambulance of which we can directly able to support the society. On a side note, if any of you wish to be trained as a paramedic assistance personnel, please approach our PE Captain Christopher Bek.
