PETs and District Assembly at Zon Hotel, Johor Bahru April 8 to 10th

Message from PE Chris Bek who attended the PETs recently

PE Christopher Bek had attended the PRESIDENT ELECT TRAINING session for two days with 64 Presidents Elect from District 3310. All PE must go through this PE Training compulsory before he or she become the next PRESIDENT of the Rotary Club. The training will ensure the President to lead in accordance to the traditional method of a Rotary Leader. He or she will be trained to lead with his Board of Directors and Chair persons so that the club will have a successful year. During the training, the PE will learn more about Rotary World during the workshop session, such as Rotary Foundation, Matching Grant, Rotary Mission Statement, and Rotary Visions.

The District Assembly commence on 9 and 10 April 2011 and was attended by PE Christopher Bek, VP/ Treasurer Chris Pan, Hon. Secretary Yanti Tohari, International Service Director Hara Mohanty and our Veteran Membership Chairperson Maria Boey for two solid days of learning their scope of work for the Rotary Movement.

During the District Assembly, Rtn Hara was nominated as the District EXCO member for Public Relation Committee and was acknowledged publicly on stage with the others willing to volunteer their time with Rotary.

Our Rotary E Club of Singapore although was chartered on 11-1-11 or less than three months of the official formation, have already three District Officers for the Rotary Year 2011/2012, naming PE Christopher Bek, as EXCO Member of the District 3310 Disaster Relief Committee, International Service Director Hara Mohanty as EXCO Member of the District 3310 Public Relation Committee and our Veteran Membership Chairperson, Maria Boey as the EXCO Member of the District 3310 Preserve Planet Earth Committee.

It is a GREAT to see our Members are very active and committed to Rotary Work and we wish to motivate them all the way through participating and supporting them with enthusiasm.
